The Diarists
We are Sue Asbury, David Hughes and Mike Reed - two designers and a writer. Sue is part of Asbury & Asbury and tweets as @suejanea. David leads David & Associates, and tweets as @david_hughes. Mike trades as Reed Words, and tweets as both @mikebreed and @reedwords. We've done this before: in 2007 and, abortively, in 2008.

25_01: Down and down and down
Popped up the Monument for the first time, on a whim. It was good, but there were a lot of steps. (311, in fact. It's the world's tallest free-standing stone tower.)

Walking the dog, I stopped in amazement as these two beautiful young deer stepped lightly across my path and stood still, almost posing, in the snowy woods. After scrambling my camera out of my pocket, switching it on, finding it on the wrong setting, and almost dropping it, I managed to get this picture just as they disappeared.
14_01: My latest online incarnation
Tom has been badgering me about doing this for weeks. My monster is called Eggy.
13_01 Unhappy hour
The Gate, Smithfield. 6pm. Waiting for a director who cancelled at the last minute. Reminded me of a comment from Len Cheesman I'd seen earlier in the day on cdpcelebration recalling the acerbic wit of John O'Donnell. O’Donnell, seeing him on his own at the bar, shouts across from the group he's with and says, "Len, don't drink on your own... fuck off home.".
And with that in mind, I did.
